The City of Locked Doors Book cover

Description

And here we ago, another book cover that I've managed to scribble and thoroughly smudge into something vaguely professional. Just in time for the actual release too:happybounce: :happybounce: :happybounce:
I'd like to thank anyone who took the time to offer feedback on the w.i.p I submitted a couple weeks ago. After I collected the scattered pieces of my dismembered ego, all your suggestions proved unspeakably useful and helped create the piece up above. :worship: That being said, I'm still looking for possible difficulties so if anyone sees something than please take the time to mention it.

I'll probably release the first chapter of C.O.L.D at some point ( sooner rather than later) but I'm not entirely sure I'll accompany it with a drawing. I've already done a rendition of the main character here- peace-in-violence.deviantart.c… and sure it's a little outdated, but the actual book cover serves as a fine revamp. Of course, if ya'll want something to accompany it than I'd be happy to slave away for twenty days and twenty nights to whip something up, it may even be full color. Seriously though, I've got plenty of material and I'd happy to do something.

Now for a quick plot rundown. Our protagonist ( the man you see up above) is a character with a loose association with morality, kinda like that one neighbor who you wave at from across the street but don't really want to interact with. Shrouded in power and mystery, our hero  visit the fantastical city of Umbras, a place of towering skyscrapers, mist like soft-serve icecream and the rather curious habit of imprisoning all its inhabitant come nightfall. Why? Because everyone looses their sanity and turns into grotesque, blood hungry monsters.
At this point you're probably asking yourselves why our charming ( not really) law-abiding (not really) entirely sane ( not really) hero would visit such a delightful place. Well, he's come to wreck terrible vengeance on those who killed his brother.

Fare thee well my future friends.

That city looks like it took forever to paint! I like the values here too!

Great job!
